The Office of Student Affairs partners with staff, faculty and community leaders to develop a variety of leadership development opportunities for students, including the following programs:

  • Leadership consultations
  • Organization President’s Council
  • Student organization officer and event training
  • Off-campus conferences

Staff of the Office of Student Affairs is available for leadership consultations with  individual student leaders, small groups of leaders and entire student organizations. These sessions can help resolve issues leaders or groups face within their student organization.

The Organization President’s Council, a group of leadership peers, meets regularly to discuss the happenings, opportunities and challenges of leadership and to plan events, seek funding, and promote events and opportunities for involvement.

Each semester, the Office of Student Affairs hosts a student organization officer and training event for new leaders that covers planning and staging events on campus, identifying funding, and recruiting members.

Throughout the year, the Office of Student Affairs, Student Government Association and academic departments offer opportunities for student leaders to attend conferences both locally and nationally. Watch for announcements on the intranet (login required) or contact the Office of Student Affairs for more information.
