Steps to apply

Traditional first-year undergraduate students applying for admission to Carlow University should submit the following items (requirements may differ by major and are included on individual major pages):

  • Completed online application (create a Bridge to Carlow account or apply with the Common App)
  • Official high school transcript
  • SAT, ACT and/or CLT scores (optional)
  • Counselor and/or teacher recommendation (optional)
  • Test of English language proficiency (international students)

Supporting documentation (e.g., official transcripts, TOEFL scores) should be submitted to:

Transcripts

Official high school transcripts should be sent directly to the Office of Admissions from your high school through its electronic delivery service or by mail in sealed envelopes.

Standardized test scores

Carlow currently has a test-optional admissions policy. However, please note that certain academic programs may require submission of SAT, ACT, and/or CLT scores for direct entry.

Additionally, the following students are not eligible for test optional consideration:

  • International students
  • Homeschooled students
  • Students who have earned a high school equivalency credential, such as the GED, HiSET, or TASC

Submitting test scores

If you would like to submit standardized test scores, they must be sent directly from the testing agency or must appear on your official high school transcript.

Please use the following information to submit test scores:

  • SAT (College Board) school code: 2421
  • ACT school code: 3638
  • CLT: Choose Carlow in your account
