Mercy, justice and service are hallmarks of Carlow University. Rooted in the values of the Sisters of Mercy, the University actively promotes the dignity of every person, advocates for equity and inclusion, positions itself to address matters of social justice, and works to instill in its students a lifelong desire to serve others while nurturing them in their personal faith journeys. 

All academic and student life programs are designed to foster these values.
