This Notice applies only to Carlow University Websites and Online Services that are intended to be used by or directed to Children and supplements Carlow University’s Privacy Notice accordingly.
Use by a Child of Carlow University’s Websites and Online Services intended to be used by or directed to Children requires verifiable consent from a Child’s parent or guardian and acknowledgement of this Notice prior to use by the Child.
A Child’s Personal Data is retained for as long as necessary to provide the Child with the use of Websites or Online Services requested or as necessary for business or legal obligations.
A Child’s Personal Data may be used to provide services requested, improve services and user experience, to allow for communication with the Child as necessary, for analytical purposes and as required to fulfill business and legal obligations. In some circumstances, a Child may publicly post their information, including Personal Data. Consent from a parent or guardian is required before posting the Child’s information publicly.

Carlow University may disclose a Child’s Personal Data to third parties to allow for the use of the third parties’ services, products or support, for public safety purposes, to protect the rights and safety of others, and as required for legal purposes.
If Carlow University learns that it received Personal Data of a Child without a parent or guardian’s verified consent, Carlow University will use that information only to inform the Child or the Child’s parent or guardian that the Child cannot use the Websites or Online Services.
Upon providing proper identification, a parent or guardian has the right to access and review a Child’s Personal Data that is maintained by Carlow University, the right to request that Carlow University update or delete a Child’s Personal Data and the right to refuse to allow Carlow University from collecting or using a Child’s Personal Data.
