Carlow University Receives Single Largest Grant in its History for Early Childhood Program
President Kathy W. Humphrey announced the receipt of the institution’s single largest grant in its history. An anonymous benefactor contributed $12 million to endow the Western Pennsylvania Early Childhood Apprenticeship Hub at Carlow for the benefit of future generations.

Carlow University is saddened at the passing of Marylouise Fennell, RSM, EdD, the University’s seventh president, serving from 1982-1988. She was 83 years old.

Carlow University Receives $50,000 Grant to Study Substance Use Disorder Crisis Resources in Westmoreland and Fayette Counties
“Southwestern Pennsylvania Partners in Recovery,” in partnership with Carlow University, has been awarded $50,000 by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) to examine the strengths and gaps in the recovery to workforce ecosystem in two counties, particularly for those in recovery from substance use disorders.

Carlow University is pleased to announce that Rhonda E. Maneval, D.Ed., has been selected to be a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (Academy). Dr. Maneval is dean at of the College of Health and Wellness.

Brian DiLucente has been announced as the new Board Chair for Carlow University. Three new additions will also join the board, which began its current term on July 1.
Carlow University Athletics to Join NCAA Division III
Carlow University has announced plans to shift athletic conferences in an exploratory year to begin in Fall 2022. The Celtics will join the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as a Division III university in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC).
