At Carlow University, leadership is more than a structure—it's a shared commitment to student success and a calling to serve a higher good. Our President, Board of Trustees, and Provost work together as an integrated partnership, each bringing unique perspective and expertise to guide the University's mission, strengthen academic excellence, and support the needs of our community.
This collaborative approach reflects Carlow's belief that leadership should be accessible, responsive, and student-centered. In a world that needs more ethical leaders, we help our students shape the voice inside—and then use that inner voice to create a more just and merciful world. As members of Carlow's leadership teams, we hold in our hands a remarkable opportunity and an incredible responsibility: to tell the next chapter of Carlow University's story and to nurture the next generation of ethical leaders.
From advancing strategic priorities to fostering a welcoming learning environment, Carlow's leadership remains focused on creating opportunities, building trust, and ensuring every student feels supported on their path to success. As our foundress Catherine McAuley said, "We must strive to do ordinary things extraordinarily well." That spirit guides everything we do—together.
President Humphrey leads Carlow's commitment to preparing students for careers that heal communities—whether you're studying nursing, social work, business, education, or the arts. Our mission is to ensure you graduate ready to lead with compassion, competence, and a commitment to creating a more just and merciful world.

Our shared governance bodies include:
Faculty Assembly: Represents faculty voice on academic policies, curriculum, and institutional priorities
Staff Council: Represents staff voice on workplace policies, professional development, and institutional culture
Student Government: Represents student voice on campus life, student services, and policies affecting student experience
These groups meet regularly with executive leadership, provide input on major decisions, and serve on institutional committees.
