Carlow University’s Board of Trustees joined President Kathy Humphrey, PhD, faculty, staff and students in the blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the University’s new Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy Teaching & Learning Lab.
President Kathy W. Humphrey announced the receipt of the institution’s single largest grant in its history. An anonymous benefactor contributed $12 million to endow the Western Pennsylvania Early Childhood Apprenticeship Hub at Carlow for the benefit of future generations.
Carlow University and Westmoreland County Community College, in partnership with the Westmoreland Chamber of Commerce, held a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark a continuing partnership between the schools to increase opportunities to meet the future workforce needs of the county and allow community college students to seamlessly transfer to Carlow.
“Southwestern Pennsylvania Partners in Recovery,” in partnership with Carlow University, has been awarded $50,000 by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) to examine the strengths and gaps in the recovery to workforce ecosystem in two counties, particularly for those in recovery from substance use disorders.
