Carlow University Commencement 2026

Students who graduated in Fall 2025, or will graduate in Spring or Summer 2026 are invited to participate in the Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 9th, 2026.

Graduation Information

A graduation application is required from all students completing degrees or certificates in the spring or summer. If you finished your degree in the fall, we already have your grad app, and you do not need to apply again. The grad app is not the RSVP to Commencement, but we use it to generate the list of students to invite to the ceremony.

Submit your grad app in Self Service by the end of March to be included in the ceremony program (fall graduates do not need to apply again). Even if you are not attending the ceremony, a grad app is required . Summer graduates should select “summer” as their graduation term. For instructions and more detailed information visit our MyCarlow page: https://my.carlow.edu/pages/office-of-the-registrar#Graduation

The Commencement Ceremony

An email from our Commencement partner, Tassel, will be sent to graduating students’ Carlow emails on March 18th with instructions for submitting your RSVP to the ceremony and requesting tickets for your guests.

Tickets

Students may request up to 10 tickets for their family and friends.  All guests over the age of three will require a ticket.  The tickets will be issued to you electronically when you submit the form through Tassel after March 18th.

Caps and gowns are ordered through our Barnes and Noble partner, Herff-Jones.

Students or Guests needing ADA Accommodations

We will make accommodations for both students and guests who have a disability to ensure that their graduation experience is welcoming and inclusive.

An ASL interpreter will be on stage for the ceremony, and a designated guest seating area will be assigned within sight of the interpreter.

The David L. Lawrence Convention Center is fully accessible. Details can be found here: https://www.pittsburghcc.com/dlcc-accessibility-info/

When students RSVP to attend the ceremony, they will be asked to provide information about accommodation needs, for themselves, or a guest, if desired.  Students and guests can also request accommodations by filling out this form: Commencement ADA Accommodations Request – Fill out form

Parking at the Convention Center

The downtown area on a Saturday afternoon will be very busy, and there could be construction projects that cause delays.  Note this information below and plan accordingly:

  • A 700-car parking garage with an 7′ 8″ clearance is available at the Convention Center. The entrance is located on 10th Street. For more information, please visit: Alco Parking Corporation. The fee is determined by Alco.
  • You may also visit ParkPGH.org for real time parking availability in the downtown area.
  • You can reserve and pay in advance for downtown parking using the ParkWhiz app.

More information and directions can be found on the DLLCC site: https://www.pittsburghcc.com/directions-parking/
