Reunion Weekend 2023!

April 21 & 22, 2023

Mark your calendars for Carlow Reunion 2023, scheduled for Friday, April 21, 2023  – Saturday, April 22, 2023. Festivities are open to all alumni with special celebrations for milestone classes — 2022, 2018, 2013, 2003, 1993, 1983, 1973, and 1963. Your Celtic connections are more meaningful than ever, so please plan to join us for inspiring programs, social get-togethers and immerse yourself in our diverse and inclusive Carlow Community. 

Schedule of Events

Carlow Night with the Pittsburgh Pirates
Time: Game Begins at 6:45 pm
Location: PNC Park

The Pittsburgh Pirates take on the Cincinnati Reds at PNC Park.  Enjoy the left-field lounge for the pregame event.  Anyone who has a Carlow ticket can access the lounge.  Enjoy the game from a private rooftop venue that includes food, beverage, and a free giveaway item.



Interfaith Blessing & Breakfast
Time: 8:30 am – 9:30 am
Location: University Commons, 5th Floor, Gailliot Center

A special blessing and light breakfast for our 2023 reunion guests.

Description: Experience Carlow’s Campus School, learn of new plans for future students and the legacy left behind through the Rae Ann Hirsch Western Pennsylvania Early Education Apprenticeship HUB.
Presenter: Keely Baronak, EdD Professor of Education, Chair Department of Education.

2nd stop: Arts & Science
Location: AJP
Title: “Heart Pathology” 
Description: “Learn about Carlow’s Perfusion Program by participating in an interactive lab experience while we discuss our relationship with UPMC, Procirca, and how this will set our students up for success”.    
Presenter: Dr. Stephen Borecky, PhD Professor of Biology and Director of the Cardiovascular Perfusion Program

3rd stop: College of Health and Wellness: School of Nursing
Location: Antonian 6th Floor
Title: “Recognized for our Expertise: How the School of Nursing is addressing the Nursing shortage”.
Description: The School of Nursing Dean and Program Director will share ways in which the Nursing shortage is being addressed.

4th stop: College of Health and Wellness: School of Allied Health Sciences
Location: University Commons Speech Lab, 4th Floor
Title: “The Aged Voice”
Description:  Interactive lab experience with faculty and students of Carlow’s SLP program.
Presenter: Jackie Gartner-Schmidt, PhD, CCC-SLP, ASHA Fellow. Associate Professor Speech Language Pathology Graduate Program

Last stop: Gathering for a special celebration honoring the class of 1973 and 1963.

Title:  “Carlow Irish Tea Time – Warning Hands and Hearts”
Description: A cup of Irish Tea is the backbone of Irish Hospitality.  Irish tea is more than a hot drink, it is a symbol of hospitality, camaraderie, and friendship.  Join us for miniature sandwiches and desserts with our very own branded Carlow Irish Tea
