Kelsey Tedesco is a passionate early childhood educator whose work as a Pre-K teacher at the Carlow University Campus Laboratory School is deeply rooted in the Reggio Emilia philosophy—one that continues to inspire and evolve in her daily practice. She brings joy, creativity, and authenticity into the classroom, weaving singing, dancing, laughter, and visual arts into the daily rhythm and creating a space where children feel seen, heard, and celebrated.

Believing that children are capable and competent, Kelsey designs experiences that invite curiosity, collaboration, and wonder. Her classroom is a place where empathy, kindness, strength, and courage are intentionally nurtured, helping children grow both emotionally and socially. With a deep love of diverse cultures, she creates opportunities for children to explore the world around them with openness and appreciation.

Kelsey values the power of creative expression and uses the arts as a tool for connection and reflection. Her thoughtfully prepared environment acts as a “third teacher,” offering invitations for exploration, problem-solving, and self-discovery.

At the Laboratory School, she collaborates closely with colleagues and contributes to a reflective teaching community committed to innovation in early childhood education. She believes in learning alongside her students—remaining curious, open, and inspired by the questions and ideas they bring each day.

Kelsey Tedesco’s work reflects a beautiful balance of heart, intention, and creativity. Through her evolving Reggio-inspired approach, she nurtures young children to become empathetic, confident, and curious learners—ready to face the world with compassion and joy.
