Rachel N. November is a faculty member in the Physician Assistant program at Carlow University, where she serves as Director of Clinical Education and Instructor in the clinical phase of the program. Her journey in medicine began at the University of Pittsburgh, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Activity. She remained at the University of Pittsburgh to pursue her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies, where she was selected as the recipient of the Class of 2015 “Spirit of the Profession” award.

Dr. November has nine years of experience as a physician assistant in both outpatient and inpatient internal medicine settings, with a special interest in palliative and serious illness care. She has spent most of her career working with the underserved rural community. She served as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Pittsburgh’s Physician Assistant program from 2017 to 2025, where she realized her passion for education. She completed her doctorate degree at the University of Pittsburgh in August 2025, and then subsequently transitioned to a full-time academic role at Carlow University in August 2025.

As a first-generation college graduate herself, Dr. November is devoted to providing innovative educational opportunities to learners of all backgrounds and ensure they have the medical knowledge, empathy, and resilience to thrive in today’s dynamic healthcare landscape.
