During his 15-year tenure in Christian higher education, Mike has traveled to more than 30 countries collaborating in educational projects and developing international partnerships. He is dedicated to sharing the love of God across cultures and helping Christian organizations communicate and animate their values and identity.

Writing on the intersection of religion, culture, and Christian spirituality, Mike has published 26 articles and 3 books and presented in 14 cities in 7 countries. As executive director of a faith-based nonprofit partnering in international service, he led the organization through a successful revitalization process, empowering communication and collaboration, and developing an effective leadership team with focused vision and a new strategic plan.

His global mission experience enriches his identity as a committed follower of Jesus. Daily devotion, prayer, and Bible study help him cultivate resilience and interior freedom to receive God’s love and share it with others. Integrating the partnership of faith and reason with an emphasis on the dignity and worth of every human being illuminates the hope and truth students seek in values-based higher education.

As Director of Campus Ministry, Mike aims to be a leader who is also a companion, accessible to students, faculty, and staff for Bible study, prayer, worship, fellowship, and retreats. Mike holds a special interest in wellness for mind-body-spirit including attention to nutrition and fitness, finding renewal in the outdoors – hiking, kayaking, and visiting botanical gardens.
