Sarah is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Carlow University alumna dedicated to advancing health equity and expanding access to comprehensive, whole-person care at SMART. Through graduate training supported by the HRSA IMPACT Grant, she developed expertise in trauma-informed, community-based primary care for underserved and at-risk populations in the greater Pittsburgh region.
Her diverse clinical background spans emergency medicine, substance use treatment, psychiatric management, home health, utilization management, and case management for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This breadth of experience enables her to address the complex, multifaceted needs of vulnerable patient populations.
Beyond clinical practice, Sarah has demonstrated leadership in health equity initiatives. At Carlow University, she served on the Honorary Degree Committee in 2024 and 2025, and led a student project through the HRSA IMPACT Grant that collected personal hygiene supplies and provided health education to patients in need. She continues to volunteer with the Poverty Simulation program, sharing her passion for serving underserved communities with future healthcare professionals.
