Alexis is dedicated to advancing the field of nursing through both her teaching and research. With a specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing, she is committed to providing students with the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to excel in one of the most dynamic and essential areas of healthcare. As an instructor in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pharmacology, and Nursing Research, she is passionate about preparing future nurses for the challenges of modern patient care, with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and critical thinking.

Beyond her teaching, Alexis’ research interests focus on issues that impact both faculty and students within the nursing education landscape. She explores faculty burnout, recognizing the challenges faced by nursing educators, and investigates strategies for improving student retention and nursing student success. Her work seeks to enhance the overall learning experience for nursing students and ensure a sustainable and supportive environment for faculty.
