Grazia Curatolo has been a proud member of Carlow University’s Campus Laboratory School for the past five years, where she is committed to advancing literacy, supporting student growth, and strengthening the surrounding community. She began her career at the Lab School as a third-grade teacher and later transitioned into the role of reading interventionist, initially working with fourth and fifth grade students.
Now serving middle school learners in the 2025–2026 school year, she continues to bring passion and expertise to her work, helping students build the skills and confidence they need to thrive as readers. Her transition from classroom teacher to interventionist was fueled by a desire to deepen her understanding of how children learn to read, particularly those facing challenges with literacy. With the strong support of school leadership, she completed Carlow University’s Dyslexia Certificate Extension program and the Wilson Reading System® practicum, earning her certification as a Dyslexia Practitioner.
Her instructional approach is grounded in the belief that all students deserve access to high-quality, evidence-based reading instruction. At the Campus Laboratory School, she has found a professional home where she feels heard, supported, and continually encouraged to grow. Whether pursuing additional training or refining her teaching practice, she is grateful to be part of a community that values lifelong learning and collaboration.
Being part of Carlow University’s Campus Laboratory School is more than a role—it is a meaningful way to serve and be part of something greater than herself. Through her work with middle school students, she remains dedicated to the school’s mission of nurturing curiosity, cultivating skills, and building a foundation for future academic success.
