Ashley Barr, DSW, LSW, MBA received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Allegheny College, her Master of Social Work and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and her Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Southern California. Prior to teaching at Carlow University, she taught in the Master of Social Work program at the University of Pittsburgh for 6 years and in the Bachelor of Social Work program at California University of PA (Penn-West University) for 2 years. Ashley’s clinical social work experience includes 12 years as a Trauma and Emergency Department social worker at both Mercy Hospital and UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Additionally, she has worked in the mental health field with a focus on treatment for children and adolescents. Ashley is the Head Coach- Men’s and Women’s Cross Country at Carlow University. Her special interests include student athlete and young adult mental health as well as sport social work.
