Anitrice Black has been a part of the CLS family for five years starting this up coming school year. She has taught kindergarten for two years and two years doing math intervention for k-2 and teaching social studies to first grade. She has a passion for social emotional leaarning and incorporates this into all her classes and interactions with her students. She plans to dive deeper into the complexites of socical emotional issues and how it impacts young children.

In 2023 for Black History month she wrote and directed CLS primary Black History Presentation for families and will continue each year. For the past three years she has helped with the summer reading camp, helping children strengthening their reading skills. During the school year she tutors first graders in math and reading helping them to stay on target and gain confidence in their skills.
