To apply for the Associate of Science Degree in Surgical Technology Program, you will need to:

  • Submit an online application for admission.
  • Request the official transcripts from all current and previous institutions that you have attended, are sent directly to the Carlow University Office of Admissions.

First-time, first-year undergraduate student

  • GPA only: Minimum cumulative high school GPA 2.0.

Transfer Student

  • Minimum cumulative college GPA 2.0.
  • Transfer science courses* require a minimum grade of “C”.
  • Up to 18 general education program requirement credits may be accepted to transfer credit by Carlow University at the Program Director’s discretion.
  • Earned minimum cumulative biology science GPA of 2.5. Science courses include (Anatomy and Physiology I & II and Microbiology)*
  • Science courses that have been taken prior to 2020 will not be accepted as transfer credit.

Clinical Requirements

  • All Associate of Science Degree in Surgical Technology Program students are required to pass a physical exam, background checks, fingerprints, and drug screens. Students need to maintain professional liability insurance (provided through Carlow), required immunizations, CPR Certification for Healthcare Providers, and other requirements as described in the Associate of Science Degree in Surgical Technology Program Student Handbook.
  • The Associate of Science Degree in Surgical Technology Program reserves the right to make changes in policies and/or the curriculum outline.
