Opened in 1992, Carlow University’s Greensburg Education Center (GEC) is a regional leader in adult education. The facility on state Route 136 in Greensburg is easily accessible from U.S. Route 30 and state Routes 66 and 119, allowing for a convenient commute from Armstrong, Cambria, Fayette, Indiana and Somerset counties.

Students look up from books and laptops at a mobile device being held out by another student at the Greensburg campus.

All of the resources at Carlow’s main campus are available to Greensburg students, who can access Grace Library, the Center for Academic Achievement, the Office of Career Development and the Office of Student Affairs either online or in person.

Small class sizes and a supportive learning environment keep the focus on students. To help adult learners, classes are offered in the Carlow Accelerated Program format one night a week, three hours a night, for eight weeks. This allows for two eight-week sessions per semester so students can double the number of credits they can take.
