Dr. Hoberg has been a registered nurse for over 16 years. She has extensive clinical experience in the care of mothers, newborns, and families, including high-risk newborns. Dr. Hoberg’s research interests are dedicated to promoting the health and wellness of women, where her primary research focuses on improving the diagnostic pathways for noncancerous female-specific conditions like endometriosis, pelvic pain, and uterine fibroids. She is particularly interested in improving women’s experiences with healthcare providers as they seek answers and care for gynecologic conditions.

Dr. Hoberg’s secondary research interests involve advancing nursing education through innovative teaching methods and technology integration. She is especially focused on applying constructivist learning principles into educational strategies and exploring the role of extended reality (XR) simulation in clinical education. Dr. Hoberg is also an active member of Sigma Theta Tau and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics, and Neonatal Nurses. She also serves on the editorial advisory board for the Journal of Obstetrics, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing (JOGNN).
