How You Can SupportJim will be working in the student health department, providing medical care to students and faculty. He has worked in health care for the last 45 years. Starting as an EMT/ Paramedic, then working as a RN in emergency room, trauma ICU, neuro ICU and Life Flight. In 1998 Jim graduated from a nurse practitioner program. He worked in internal medicine, emergency room, pediatric otolaryngology, occupational health employee health. and presently works with student health with the Smart Faithworks. He retired from the United States Army in Dec of 2022 at the rank of Colonel. He served 30 years in the military . He was deployed 4 times to the Middle East and three humanitarian missions in the United States. Jim is married with three children and two grandchildren In Pittsburgh.
