Michelle Vitale is a dedicated Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, educator, and academic leader who currently serves as the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program Coordinator at Carlow University. With over 15 years of experience in women’s healthcare, she has devoted her career to advancing women’s health and well-being and mentoring the next generation of advanced practice nurses. Her clinical expertise spans inpatient and outpatient obstetrics and gynecology, fertility, prenatal and postpartum care, menopause management, preventive health, telehealth, and office-based gynecologic procedures. 

Michelle is committed to developing nurse practitioners who are not only clinically proficient but also compassionate, ethical, and confident leaders. She fosters an educational environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential. Michelle believes that the most effective clinicians integrate evidence-based practice with empathy, curiosity, and a deep commitment to serving others, and she strives to exemplify these values in her daily work. 

Michelle’s scholarship centers on advancing women’s health and enhancing nurse practitioner education. Her areas of interest include reproductive and sexual health, maternal health, menopause care, preventive medicine, healthcare access, and innovative teaching methods that prepare students for the evolving landscape of advanced practice nursing. She is particularly passionate about translating research into impactful clinical practice and equipping graduates with the knowledge, confidence, and leadership skills necessary to improve health outcomes in their communities. 

Michelle is dedicated to mentoring students and fostering collaborative relationships with faculty and clinical partners. She prioritizes opportunities for professional growth, encourages lifelong learning, and helps students discover their unique strengths as future nurse practitioners. Whether in the classroom, simulation lab, or clinical setting, Dr. Vitale is committed to guiding learners as they develop into thoughtful clinicians who provide exceptional, patient-centered care.
