Question: Is the campus open for operations?
Answer: Yes. While all classes are now meeting online and only essential workers are physically on
campus, all offices are working and responsive.
Question: Is the University bookstore open?
Answer: Yes, but with limited hours. Everyone is encouraged to visit https://carlow.bncollege.com for days and hours of
operation.
Question: Are the library and study areas open in University Commons?
Answer: Yes. All visitors must social distance and wear masks at all times while in the library and
study areas, with the exception of while in a study room behind a closed door. In-person reference sessions are
limited to 15 minutes or less at the Circulation Desk. Virtual reference sessions can be scheduled through gracelibrary@carlow.edu.
Modified library hours are:
Nov. 22 - 28: Sunday 2-9 p.m.; Monday & Tuesday 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Wednesday-Saturday closed
Nov. 29 – Dec. 5: Sunday closed; Monday-Thursday 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Saturday closed
Dec. 6-11: Sunday 2-9 p.m.; Monday-Thursday 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Saturday closed
Question: Does the University have COVID-19-related instructional signage in place on campus?
Answer: Yes. Signage is posted throughout campus and on the digital TV screens that indicate walking
patterns, hygiene protocol and social distancing instructions.
Question: Are visitors permitted on campus?
Answer: Given the spike in COVID-19 cases in our region and state, not at the present time.
Question: Is St. Joe’s Fitness Center open for students?
Answer: Yes, utilizing the American College of Sports Medicine, National Intramural and Recreation
Sports Association and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania best practice guidelines. Only students have access to this
facility, and hours have been reduced to allow for daily deep cleaning protocols. There is a limited number of
people permitted in the building at any given time, and the facility is marked for social distancing. Locker rooms
and showers are accessible per recommended guidelines.
