  • MBA 797 – Healthcare Project Management
    This graduate-level course introduces essential concepts and strategies for effective project management in the context of health care. Topics include project selection, project initiation, defining scope, identifying project teams, defining project goals, time management, implementation activities, and project monitoring.  
  • NU 711 - Healthcare Innovation and Quality
    This course provides the student the opportunity to learn about current initiatives and innovations in health promotion and disease prevention, patient safety, and quality environment in conjunction with a review of evidence-based guidelines, benchmarks, and regulatory and professional standards, the course examines relevant methodology, tools, measurement systems, data collection, and medical informatics usage in quality improvement. Strategies for creating a culture of quality and safety are examined, utilizing models of evaluation and process improvement. Students apply principles of quality and
    regulatory management with an emphasis on defining, measuring, and evaluating outcomes within organizations and systems to become effective leaders and change agents.
  • NU 727 – Fiscal Management
    This course provides an introduction to the principles of fiscal management in the healthcare environment, covering financial and managerial accounting, cost analysis, budgeting, planning, and control. The object of this course is to prepare nursing management to understand the financial management of the organizations for which they work.
