Re-entry & Resiliency Plan (updated 6/17/21)
Gifts to Carlow play a critical role in advancing the mission of the University and providing much-needed support to its students.
Steeped in the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy, responding to unmet needs has become a hallmark of Carlow University — and one that is impressed upon students who study at our University. As alumni, they are encouraged to pay forward the opportunities and support they received, enabling future generations of Carlow students to achieve their highest potential and make an impact on the world.
There are several ways to give back to Carlow University, and gifts can be made in several different ways. Find the one that’s right for you.
Gifts to this fund provide essential support to students, eliminating financial barriers and helping to make their educational goals and dreams a reality. The Carlow Fund is an annual campaign that runs every year from July 1-June 30, and it accepts gifts of any size. You can make a difference whether you have $10 or $10,000 to give.
The Carlow University 1929 Society is a group of philanthropic alumni and friends of Carlow dedicated to financially supporting the University. Members of the society contribute $1,000 or more to the Carlow Fund during the University’s fiscal year (July 1-June 30.) The society was created in honor of the founding of the institution in 1929 by the Sisters of Mercy and to recognize the University’s most generous donors.
A memorial or in honor gift allows you to honor someone special in your life or to remember a deceased loved one. Giving of this nature can be made through the Carlow Fund.
Reunion Giving honors the anniversary of a particular graduation year. Top class participation and total giving are recognized during Alumni Weekend every year. This is a wonderful way for individual classes to give back and honor their time at Carlow or Mount Mercy.
The Carlow University Alumni Association is your company’s connection to one of Pittsburgh’s closest-knit and most engaged alumni networks. Becoming a Carlow University event sponsor offers several ways to promote your product, service or business to Carlow University Alumni across the country. We host many different events throughout the year touching on many different target markets.
Endowed scholarships provide a way to memorialize loved ones, uniting their names in perpetuity with Carlow University and its Mercy legacy. Our endowed scholarships begin at $25,000 and can be funded with cash as well as securities, life insurance beneficiaries and trusts.
This type of giving can include gifts of stocks, savings bonds, mutual funds, real estate, retirement assets, cash or insurance. They can be given via a bequest, an IRA rollover, beneficiary designation or various trusts (including charitable gift annuity trusts, charitable remainder unitrust, charitable remainder annuity trust, charitable lead trust and wealth replacement trusts.)
