Re-entry training mandatory for all faculty, staff

Dear Faculty and Staff,
Greetings and best wishes on this second week of our academic year. Below are
two quick updates.
Online Re-Entry Training
This serves as a reminder to complete the mandatory COVID-19 re-entry training
videos and sign the corresponding re-entry agreement located in the “Videos & Resources” area of our website. All employees (staff, faculty, and adjunct) are
required to complete this training and agreement as part of the re-entry
protocols. The time commitment is minimal.
As members of the Carlow community and in the spirit of the Common Good and
our Mercy Heritage, at all times we all must wear our mask on campus, practice
safe social distancing of six feet or more from other people, practice good
hygiene by frequently washing or sanitizing our hand, and sanitize our spaces
before and after use. This will help to ensure that we are all doing our part
to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Thanks for doing your part to keep us all
safe and healthy this year.
Help Desk Enhancements
The University has identified concerns regarding IT Help Desk support. In
response, we are immediately shifting additional personnel to answer calls and
attend to Help@carlow.edu tickets.
Beginning Friday, Sept. 4, the Help Desk phone 1-412-578-8700 will be answered
from 8 a.m. to 5p.m Monday - Friday by Carlow Help Desk technicians.
Additionally, beginning Tuesday September 8, we will have in place overflow
support to help with basic support, password changes, and other related
matters. It is our belief these changes will provide immediate improved
service. The university is in the process of partnering with BlackBeltHelp, a
global provider of IT and Student Services support. Carlow anticipates this
process will be up and fully functional by November 20.
