Dear Faculty and Staff,

Monday will bring with it a new excitement and vigor with the official beginning of our fall semester.

Below are a few quick updates this Friday afternoon to uphold our commitment to safety and to the students of our University.

Masking

We are the models of commitment to the common good, and it is critical that all of us model our common good pledge by properly wearing our masks at all times while on campus.

COVID-19 instructional videos

Everyone in the Carlow community is required to complete the mandatory “Returning to Campus Safely During COVID-19” online training series, consisting of seven very short, under two-minute videos and a brief informational sheet.

These videos are located within the “Videos & Resources” box on the COVID-19 re-entry page of our website.

Additionally, all faculty, staff, and students are required to complete the brief “COVID-19 Re-entry Agreement.” This also is located within the “ Videos & Resources ” box on our website.

Supporting our students’ success

One aspect of our connectedness at Carlow University is that we remain concerned about students who may not have a proper computer, support equipment, or internet access.

Recognizing that IT does not have the resources nor bandwidth to issue and support student equipment, the University has designated $30,000 in the Sister Maria Green Student Emergency Fund to provide support to these students, in the form of computers, cameras, microphones, and internet enhancement. A communication has been disseminated to students encouraging them to apply for assistance, if needed.

So that we might equitably distribute these limited funds, we are asking for your assistance in identifying students who are truly in need. If you are aware of any student who you believe may have need, encourage them to submit a Care report .

Staying updated

Please continue to visit the re-entry page on the website for ongoing updates as we move throughout the semester.

Have a wonderful weekend.
