University staff will receive two weeks' notice prior to phased return to campus
University Communication to Faculty and Staff
Dear Faculty and Staff,
We recognize that Governor Wolf announced May 29 that several Pennsylvania counties would transition from the Yellow to Green Phase today, among them Allegheny County.
As noted in our June 1 email, faculty and staff will continue to work remotely as a phased re-entry and return-to-work-plan is finalized.
The University will provide employees with at least two-weeks’ notice prior to implementing a phased return to campus.
In the interim, divisional leaders and supervisors across campus are evaluating the functions of their departmental areas in relationship to the overall campus planning to assist in the development of a staggered departmental employee return-to-work plan.
We continue to work through the details of a comprehensive plan that will enable for a safe reopening of the University. A sampling of the matters we are working on includes: restricted entry and exits with screening measures; physical distancing and masking protocols; guidelines relating to interaction within University common areas and workspaces; cleaning and sanitation protocols; and the review of employee policies pertaining to sick leave and remote and flexible work.
Our utmost priority remains the safety of the Carlow University community. We will continue to provide you with details in the coming weeks.
