University poised for mix of on- and off-campus, online, hybrid coursework this fall
University Communication to Students
As we conclude the week in which we honored the men and women who have served our country, we remain grateful for those on the frontlines of the current pandemic.
Consistent with our commitment to keeping you regularly informed about the University’s unfolding plans, below are few brief updates:
Fall Semester - Senior leadership is actively leading the development of a comprehensive COVID-19 reentry plan for the University. It is scheduled to be disseminated before June’s end. Provided that Allegheny County moves into the “Green” phase sometime this summer, we continue to plan for a vibrant return to campus this fall utilizing a dynamic and innovative environment.
With priority placed on personal health and safety, our plan will abide by CDC guidelines and directives from the PA Department of Health and Governor Wolf’s office. Delivery of coursework and the “Carlow Experience” may involve a mix of on-campus, off-campus, online, and hybrid modalities.
Residence Life - The Residence Life staff team is excited to welcome residents back to campus in the fall. Planning is focused on developing a modified living environment that will ensure the interconnectedness and safety of our community.
Dining Services – Student Affairs is actively working with our on-campus food service vendor to deliver dynamic food service options through safe and accessible delivery methods.
Student Assistance Still Available - If you’ve been financially impacted by COVID-19, we encourage you to apply for assistance via the Student Application for Emergency Assistance.
Housing Reimbursements - We’ve had some questions about these reimbursements. Refund checks or account credits (for returning students) have been issued. Please email Student Accounts with questions.
Thank you for continuing to read these weekly emails. Please feel free to regularly visit our website, stay informed through our social media platforms and reach out with any questions.
Stay healthy and be safe,
Timothy P. Phillips PhD
