Carlow students can now apply for emergency assistance
University Communication to Students
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act was passed by Congress and signed into law to provide economic relief from COVID-19. The CARES Act established the Higher Education Emergency Relief fund and sent money to schools to use for emergency financial aid grants to students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the pandemic.
Carlow University has received approximately $1.3 million dollars, of which half is earmarked specifically for student grants. We are eager to begin awarding this money in compliance with the regulations that were provided to schools by the U.S. Department of Education.
The Application for Emergency Assistance is now available for you to apply for funding from CARES if you have expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19. Please read the instructions carefully, then hit the submit button. As the application states, you will be notified via Carlow University email about the outcome of your request.
If you have any questions, you may contact COVIDFUND@carlow.edu. We hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy, and we look forward to seeing you back on campus.
