Ceremony

Question: When has the Commencement Ceremony been rescheduled for?
Answer:Commencement Ceremony will take place on Sunday, December 20, 2020, at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall at 12:00 Noon. Graduates from May 2020, August 2020, and December 2019 and 2020 will be recognized in this ceremony.

Question: Will there still be a Baccalaureate Mass service?
Answer: The Baccalaureate Mass will take place on Saturday, December 19, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Cathedral.


Caps and Gowns

Question: I have already ordered my cap and gown but it was sent to the university. How to receive this?
Answer: If students already ordered and chose to ship to bookstore for pick up, they need to click this link to redirect to home shipping. They should have already received an email with these instructions from Herff Jones. Reroute their bookstore pick up orders to their permanent address.

Question: I have ready ordered my cap and gown but do not expect that I will be attending the December Commencement ceremony. How do I receive a refund?
Answer: Visit Herff Jones to request a refund.

Question: Will there still be a Baccalaureate Mass service?
Answer: For students that have not ordered yet, they can still order online. Herff Jones is shipping for free to homes at this time. The free shipping date cut off has not been decided. Expedited shipping is not occurring at this time. However, new orders are shipping within 10 business days.


Graduation Fee

Question: Due to the ceremony being rescheduled and I will not be in attendance, will I get my graduation fee refunded?
Answer: No. The graduation fee is charged to all students and covers the administrative costs related to credentialing and degree conferral. It does not go toward the commencement ceremony.


Diplomas

Question: Will my diploma be mailed to me after the spring semester ends?
Answer: Diplomas are mailed to students 4-6 weeks from the end of the term in which students complete their degree/certificate. They are not given out at the commencement ceremony.


Grad Fair

Question: Will there still be a Grad Fair prior to Commencement ceremony?
Answer: At this time, we will not expect to have an in person Grad Fair. Students may order their caps and gowns online. Cords and stoles will be provided either the day of the ceremony or via mail. Tickets for the ceremony will be mailed out to the students.


Tickets

Question: Will there be another RSVP that I need to complete?
Answer: Students will receive a request to fill out a “Save the Date” form to give the Commencement team information to contact you at a later time via an alternative email and a phone number. This will give our team the best information to help us reach out during the Fall 2020 semester to get your formal RSVP and be provided any changes.

Question: How will I receive my Commencement tickets for my friends and family to attend?
Answer: Commencement tickets will be mailed to you via standard USPS to the mailing address the you provide on the RSVP form that will be available in the Fall 2020 semester.
