Career Advising for Alumni More than Two Years From Graduation
- PA CareerLink offers career and skill building workshops, career counseling, and job search assistance to community members.
- Access PA job openings and career tools, including resume and interview guidance, at PA JobGateway.
Networking and Job Opportunities
Alumni are encouraged to view or post job opportunities in our CARMEN career management system. Through CARMEN, alumni can also network with alumni career mentors (beginning fall 2014), view and apply for jobs posted specifically for Carlow students/alumni, as well as jobs posted through Indeed.com.
Many employers recruit using the social media site, LinkedIn - and many of our alumni can be found here as well. If you have not already done so, we encourage Carlow alumni to create a LinkedIn account in order to begin networking and making connections with employers, fellow alumni, and professional or university groups which may be of interest to you.
Job Fairs and Career Events
Alumni are welcome to participate in all on and off-campus career and networking events sponsored by the Office of Career Development. Upcoming events are posted in the CARMEN system and on the Career Development Facebook page.
Employment Sites and Resources
The Office of Career Development uses The Outcomes Survey® (TOS) to collect career outcomes data on our graduates. Carlow University graduates have great stories, and your responses to The Outcomes Survey® will help us to share your success with current and prospective students. Whether you have already accepted a job or graduate school offer, have plans to start a business, will be volunteering in the community or abroad, or are still defining your next steps, we ask that you share information about your post-graduation plans using The Outcomes Survey. (Please note that official graduation is contingent upon meeting all academic requirements of the University.) Completion of the survey will qualify you for a drawing to win a variety of prizes, including iPads and gift cards, and will provide us with critical information necessary for career and academic advising, student recruitment, and institutional reporting needs.
Students in each graduating class will be asked to respond to The Outcomes Survey® shortly before graduation, and will be prompted to update their responses three, six and twelve months after graduation. Every graduating student will receive an email containing a unique URL to their record in The Outcomes Survey® at each survey interval. Graduates will also be able to request their unique link to complete or update their survey directly at any time using this URL: http://tinyurl.com/RequestMyTOS-Link
