WOMEN'S FULL RELEASE | CHAMPIONS OF CHARACTER TEAM

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Three Carlow University men's and 11 women's outdoor track & field athletes were named to the River States Conference Scholar-Athlete Team the league announced Thursday.

The 2020 RSC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Scholar-Athlete Team proudly recognized 35 student-athletes from around the conference this year, while the women's team recognized 55.

To be named, student-athletes must have a 3.25 grade-point average or higher, have at least two semesters of attendance prior to the current term, participate in an RSC sport and be nominated by their institution.

Jordan Palmer                   JR/Burgettstown, Pa.
Katherine Winter              SR/Pittsburgh, Pa.

Point Park (Pa.) University led the conference with seven team members for the men, and Midway (Ky.) University had a conference high 12 members named for the women.

The Champions of Character team recognizes one member from each RSC school who best exemplifies the five core values of NAIA Champions of Character: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Servant Leadership and Sportsmanship.

Honorees were nominated by their head coach for exemplifying these character traits. Javondii Myers (SR/Columbia, S.C.) and Larissa Kijowski earned the honor for the Celtics.
