Eight Women’s Basketball players named to All-Academic Team; three earn All-American honors

LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. --- Eight Carlow University women's basketball players were named to the USCAA All-Academic team the league announced March 11.

Honorees must have a 3.5 GPA or higher and be sophomores or above in academic standing.

Kamryn Lach - SO/Bethel Park, Pa.
Taylor Lambright - SO/Enon Valley, Pa.

Gabriele Olinger - SO/Dayton, Pa.

Angelica Orozco - SO/Filmore, Calif.

Megan Ost - SO/Apollo, Pa.

Emma Stille - SR/Westerville, Ohio

Caitlyn Trombley - SO/Belle Vernon, Pa.

Clara Wilson - SO/Johnstown, Pa.

Additionally, three players also earned All-American honors.

Senior Emma Stille (Westerville, Ohio) earned First Team All-American honors for her standout year.

Stille led the team in scoring, rebounding and blocks this season, and led the league in rebounds per game. Stille placed second in the River States Conference with 15 double-double games on the year.

Early on in the season, Stille surpassed 1,000 points and rebounds milestones. She completes her outstanding four-year career at Carlow with 1,324 points and 1,346 rebounds, placing her just second behind the all-time leader Jacqueline Muir who scored 1,483 points (2004-08).

Sophomores Kamryn Lach (Bethel Park, Pa.) and Angelica Orozco (Filmore, Calif.) earned All-American honorable mention.

Lach led the team with 101 assists on the year, averaging 3.48 assists per game. She ranked eighth in the RSC in total assists and 12th in the USCAA in assists per game.

Orozco added 50 steals on the season with an average 1.79 steals per game. She tied for ninth in the RSC in total steals.
