PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University women's basketball won, 53-35,
against visiting Indiana University East on Senior Day Saturday,
Feb. 22 at Donahue Pavilion.
The Celtics recognized seniors Delaney
Daly (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Emma
Stille (Westerville, Ohio) and Caroline
Willig (Pittsburgh, Pa.) before tip-off.
Carlow (9-19, 4-11 RSC) took a 23-17 lead over the Red Wolves
(10-20, 8-8 RSC) heading into halftime.
The Celtics out-scored IU East, 15-7, in the third quarter to
extend the lead to 14 points. Carlow tacked on another 15 points in
the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach and secure the
Stille ended the day with 16 points and 23
rebounds. Kamryn Lach (SO/Bethel Park, Pa.)
added 14 points, including four treys.
The Celtics scored 22 points in the paint and out-scored the Red
Wolves 14-7 off the bench.
Carlow shot just 27.9 percent from the field, but 53.3 percent
from the foul line. The Celtics out-rebounded the Red Wolves,
54-46, and forced 25 IU East turnovers.
Carlow travels to the University of Rio Grande (Ohio) for a
make-up game against Asbury (Ky.) University Feb. 23. The game is
