RESULTS | MEN'S
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio --- Carlow University track & field
completed its second day of events at the Youngstown State
University Mid-Major Invite Saturday. The Celtics competed against
NCAA DI, II, III and NAIA institutions.
On the women's track team, junior Larissa
Kijowski (Dayton, Pa.) broke her own school record in
the mile, finishing 12th of 67 with a time of
Kaitlynn Melvin (SO/Belle Vernon, Pa.) also
competed in the mile for the Celtics.
In field events, once again Olivia
Miller (JR/Bolivar Pa.) performed well for Carlow,
leaping 10.89 meters in triple jump to land
12th out of 36 competitors.
Jordan Palmer (Burgettstown, Pa.) threw
shot put 8.43 meters to round out field events for the women's
Back on the track, Rayshell
Brown (JR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) completed the 60-meter
dash in 9.08 and also ran the 200.
Gabrielle Kluger (SR/ Yorktown Heights, N.Y.)
and Shannon Depree (SO/Crabtree, Pa.) also
ran the 200 and 400 for the Celtics.
On the men's team, senior Javondii
Myers (Columbia, S.C.) was back on the field, placing
6th of 14 in high jump at 1.96 meters.
Devin Lewis (SR/Charlotte, N.C.) threw
shot put 8.74 meters for Carlow.
On the track, freshman Tyhir
Royster (Pittsburgh, Pa.) placed
28th of 90 in the 60-meter dash with a time of
7.21. Royster also placed well in the 200, finishing
15th of 98 with a time of 22.65
Cameron Short (JR/West Mifflin, Pa.) also
raced in the 200 and the 400, where he ran 25.03 and 55.64
Sophomore Evan Antes (North Versailles, Pa.)
ran well in the mile, finishing in 5:06.48 to complete the men's
track events on the day.
Carlow's next event is the River States Conference Indoor Track
& Field Championships in Tiffin, Ohio. More information can be
