Men’s Basketball beaten by IU East on the road

RICHMOND, Ind. --- Carlow University men's basketball lost, 116-61, to River States Conference opponent Indiana University East Saturday.

The Red Wolves (12-9, 6-1 RSC) went on a 20-2 run to start the game and never looked back, taking a 58-23 lead into halftime. IU East scored another 58 points in the second half over the Celtics (1-19, 0-7 RSC).

AJ Sharp (FR/Jeannette, Pa.) added 14 points off the bench to lead the Celtics in scoring. Marcus Millien (SO/Orlando, Fla.) scored 13 points, and juniors Ed Cahoe (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Jenkins Kimber (Philadelphia, Pa.) added 12 and 10 points respectively.

Carlow shot just 34.4 percent from the field and 54.5 percent from the free throw line on the day. IU East scored 48 points in the paint to Carlow's 20, and put up 54 points off the bench.

The Celtics committed 26 turnovers and the Red Wolves capitalized with 28 points.

Carlow hosts Brescia (Ky.) University for an 8 p.m. RSC game on Jan. 23. Due to a scheduling conflict at Oakland Catholic, the game will be played at CCAC Allegheny at 808 Ridge Ave., Pittsburgh, Pa. 15212.
