Miller places second in pentathlon at Susquehanna University meet

SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- Junior Olivia Miller (Bolivar, Pa.) placed second of 12 athletes in the pentathlon at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa. Friday.

Miller scored 2868 points, improving her previous score by 165 points since holiday break and coming up just 82 points shy of meeting the NAIA indoor national qualify standard.

Scoring

High Jump........................................................ Second Place, 1.56 meters (new Carlow indoor record)

Long Jump........................................................ Second Place, 4.90 meters

800 meter........................................................ Third Place, 2:44.51

Shot Put........................................................... Third Place, 9.20 meters

60 meter hurdles.............................................. Fifth Place, 10.35

Miller will compete individually in high jump and triple jump Saturday at the Susquehanna University Orange and Maroon Classic. Teammate Jordan Palmer (JR/Burgettstown, Pa.) will complete in shot put representing the Celtics in the field.
