MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. --- Carlow University men's basketball kicked off its Florida trip with a 92-70 loss at St. Thomas University Thursday.

A full court press by the Bobcats (7-2) forced Carlow turnovers early and St. Thomas went on a 12-0 run before Rece Henneman (SR/Clarksville, Pa.) sunk a trey to put the Celtics (13-0) on the board.

Brothers and Winchester, Va. products Michael and Eric Truong added a pair of treys to make the score 29-14 with 9:12 left in the first.

A pull-up three by Swade Redman (JR/Jeannette, Pa.) put Carlow within 10 points (31-21) with under five minutes remaining in the half.

Tre' Harvey (FR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) sunk a three in transition and Carlow forced a turnover to keep the momentum going.

The Celtics were down 34-28 before a bucket and a pair of threes by the Bobcats once against extended their lead. Carlow went into the locker room at halftime trailing, 42-30.

The Bobcats went on a 12-4 run to begin the second half, but the Celtics continued to battle.

Carlow snagged several steals but missed a few easy baskets, and St. Thomas pulled ahead, 59-43, with 12 minutes remaining in the half.

Foul trouble allowed the Bobcats a 1-and-1 bonus situation with eight minutes left in the half, where they shot 66.7 percent on the night.

Carlow cut the St. Thomas lead to 70-61 with five minutes remaining after a few strong buckets in the paint by Marcus Millien (SO/Orlando, Fla.).

Several treys throughout the tail end of the game allowed to Bobcats to maintain the lead and earn the eventual win.

St. Thomas' forwards made it tough for Carlow in the box, and the Bobcats out-rebounded the Celtics, 56-35, on the night.

Despite a few hot streaks, each team shot just 40 percent from beyond the arc, and St. Thomas shot only four percent better from the field.
Michael Truong led the team with 15 points in just 13 minutes of action. He was 5 for 6 with three treys and 2 for 2 from the line.

Harvey shot 50 percent from the field and added 14 points, and Eugene Goodwine (FR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) picked up four steals.

Carlow faces Florida National University for its final game in the Sunshine State. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
