ADRIAN, Mich. --- Carlow University women's basketball lost to
host Siena Heights University, 84-69, at the SHU Thanksgiving
The Saints (7-1) started off with a strong 20-9 lead after the
first quarter, taking a 44-23 lead into halftime against the
Celtics (4-5). Carlow fared better in the second half, out-scoring
the Saints, 25-13, in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough to
overcome the deficit.
Siena Heights shot better on the day, but pulled down just four
more rebounds than the Celtics.
The most significant difference came from the benches, where the
Saints' subs put up 27 points compared to Carlow's six.
Kamryn Lach (SO/Bethel Park, Pa.) was 6 for 11
from the field with five treys to lead the Celtics with 19
Delaney Daly (SR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) scored 17
points, and Angelica Orozco (SO/Filmore,
Calif.) added 12. Senior Emma
Stille (Westerville, Ohio) pulled down a game-high 19
boards in the effort, and Keagen Brownlee
(SO/Pittsburgh, Pa.) dished out four assists.
Carlow is back on the court tomorrow for the final day of the Siena
Heights Thanksgiving Tournament in Adrian, Mich. The Celtics face
