River States Conference names 25 Carlow players to fall scholar-athlete teams

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio --- Twenty-five Carlow University student-athletes were named to fall 2019 River States Conference Scholar-Athlete Teams, the league announced Thursday.

To be named, student-athletes must have a 3.25 grade point average or higher, have at least two semesters of attendance prior to the current term, participate in an RSC sport and be nominated by their institution.

In all, 310 student-athletes across the conference received the honor. Carlow led RSC women's cross country with eight members named to the team.

Point Park University led RSC men's cross country with seven members named to the team.

WVU Tech led all RSC men's soccer programs with 12 members of the team.

Three schools tied for the RSC women's soccer lead this year with 13 team members named: Midway (Ky.) University, Ohio Christian University and Point Park. Asbury (Ky.) University was next with 12 and Carlow with 11.

Brescia (Ky.) University led RSC volleyball this year with 11 team members named.
