MOUNT VERNON, Ohio --- Carlow University women's basketball lost, 99-47, to undefeated Mount Vernon Nazarene University Saturday on the road.

The Cougars (6-0) took an early lead in the first quarter and never looked back, holding the Celtics (2-2) to just 28.6 percent shooting from the field.

Carlow was an impressive 83.3 percent from the foul line, but it was not enough to make up for the MVNU scoring barrage in the second and third quarters.

The Cougars took a commanding 49-23 lead into halftime and out-scored the Celtics, 50-24, in the second half. They out-rebounded the Celtics, 49-22.

Emma Stille (SR/Westerville, Ohio) was the only Carlow player to score in double digits with 10 points.

The Celtics host Villa Maria (N.Y.) Monday, Nov. 11 at Oakland Catholic High School. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m., and admission is free. Links to live coverage can be found at https://bit.ly/WBB_1920.
