Women’s Basketball bested in home opener against (RV) WVU Tech

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University women's basketball lost its home opener, 74-47, to (RV) WVU Tech Tuesday at Donahue Pavilion.

Prior to the game, Carlow recognized senior forward Emma Stille (Westerville, Ohio) on reaching her 1,000 career point Sunday, Nov. 3. After Tuesday's game, Stille is just three rebounds shy of reaching her 1,000 career rebound as well.

The Celtics (1-2, 0-1 RSC) were down just seven points after the first quarter, but the Golden Bears (2-2, 1-0 RSC) extended their lead to 34-22 heading into the half.

WVU Tech out-scored the Celtics, 40-25, in the second half surge.

Stille put in a double-double performance with 15 points and 16 boards, and sophomore Kamryn Lach (Bethel Park, Pa.) added 10 points.

The Celtics shot just 45 percent from the foul line, and the Golden Bears out-rebounded the Celtics, 54-37.
