Men’s Basketball hangs tough in home opener against defending RSC champion WVU Tech

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University men's basketball lost a tough home opener, 79-56, against (RV) WVU Tech Tuesday at Donahue Pavilion.

The Celtics (0-1, 0-1 RSC) started the game strong, but the Golden Bears (2-1, 1-0 RSC) began pulling away little by little as the game wore on.

Marcus Millien (SO/Orlando, Fla.) and freshman Tre' Harvey (Pittsburgh, Pa.) scored 16 and 13 points respectively for the Celtics.

Five Golden Bears put up double-digit scores, and WVU Tech shot 47.8 percent from the field.

Carlow shot 64.7 percent from the free throw line, but the Golden Bears out-rebounded the Celtics, 42-27.

Carlow hosts Villa Maria (N.Y.) Monday, Nov. 11 for a 7 p.m. game at Oakland Catholic High School. Links to live coverage at:
