SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. - Senior forward Emma Stille (Westerville, Ohio) scored 30 points, reaching her 1,000  career point milestone in the Celtics' 91-82 win over Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Sunday.

Stille scored the basket on a foul line jumper with 4:28 remaining in the second quarter. She also picked up her first double-double of the season by pulling down 26 boards.

Carlow (1-1) jumped out to a strong lead against the Pomeroys (0-2), putting up 30 points in the first quarter. The team added another 30 in the second to take a commanding 60-29 lead into halftime.

SMWC out-scored the Celtics, 53-31, in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome the first half deficit, and Carlow walked away with its first win of the season.

The Celtics shot 81 percent from the free throw line and out-rebounded the Pomeroys, 65-37.

Megan Ost (SO/Apollo, Pa.) put up a double-double performance as well with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Angelica Orozco (Filmore, Cali.) added 13 points.
