Volleyball defeated by crosstown rival Point Park

PITTSBURGH --- River States Conference East Division leader Point Park University swept Carlow University volleyball, 3-0, Tuesday at Point Park.

Carlow (6-16, 0-12 RSC) put up a good fight throughout the match. The Celtics lost the first set, 25-13, but started the second set strong with a 12-6 lead. Carlow remained competitive throughout the set, despite not having its starting rotation together due to injury.

Point Park (18-8, 8-4 RSC) rallied and came from behind to win the set, 25-22.

The Pioneers made quick work of the Celtics in the second set, winning 25-12.
Junior Cache Street (Wilmerding, Pa.) had one of her better nights on the court, hitting .444 with 10 kills. As a team, the Celtics hit .219 on the evening.

Taylor Gent (JR/Springdale, Pa.) added 10 digs in the defensive effort.

Carlow committed just five service errors compared to Point Park's 10.
