PITTSBURGH --- River States Conference East Division leader
Point Park University swept Carlow University volleyball, 3-0,
Tuesday at Point Park.
Carlow (6-16, 0-12 RSC) put up a good fight throughout the
match. The Celtics lost the first set, 25-13, but started the
second set strong with a 12-6 lead. Carlow remained competitive
throughout the set, despite not having its starting rotation
together due to injury.
Point Park (18-8, 8-4 RSC) rallied and came from behind to win
the set, 25-22.
The Pioneers made quick work of the Celtics in the second set,
Junior Cache Street (Wilmerding, Pa.) had one
of her better nights on the court, hitting .444 with 10 kills. As a
team, the Celtics hit .219 on the evening.
Taylor Gent (JR/Springdale, Pa.) added 10
digs in the defensive effort.
Carlow committed just five service errors compared to Point
The Celtics host Asbury (Ky.) University for a 7 p.m. RSC match
