Men’s Soccer falls to NAIA No. 12-ranked WVU Tech on the road

BECKLEY, W.Va. --- Carlow University men's soccer lost, 5-0, to No. 12-ranked WVU Tech in a River States Conference match Saturday.

The Golden Bears (15-0-1, 8-0 RSC) out-shot the Celtics, 37-3. All three of the Celtics' shots were on goal, and keeper Adam Myers (SR/Port Vue, Pa.) stopped 15 shots. Ian Wohlfarth (FR/Glenshaw, Pa.), Sudesh Tiwari (FR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) and Matt Cannon (JR/Monongahela, Pa.) put up the shots for Carlow.

WVU Tech held a 13-0 corner kick advantage over the Celtics (0-12, 0-7 RSC).

The Golden Bears scored two goals within three minutes at 14' and 17' to take an early 2-0 lead into halftime. Carlow held WVU Tech scoreless for the next 53 minutes, until the Golden Bears scored in the 70th minute. WVU Tech added its final two goals at 80' and 90'.
