RIO GRANDE, Ohio --- Carlow University women's soccer lost, 2-0, the River States Conference opponent University of Rio Grande (Ohio) on the road Thursday.

The Celtics (3-8-4, 1-2-4 RSC) out-shot Rio Grande, 20-9, but it was the RedStorm (4-11, 4-3 RSC) who found the back of the net.

Ambar Torres scored both unassisted goals for the RedStorm at 7' and 40'. The goal in the seventh minute came after Carlow picked up a yellow card, and Torres scored off the free kick.

Eight different Celtics had shots on goal, but the Rio Grande goalkeeper ended the night with a clean sheet. Carlow held a 7-0 corner kick advantage, but could not convert the opportunities into goals.

Lauren Forte (SO/Johnstown, Pa.) made two saves in the complete game effort.

Carlow travels to WVU Tech Saturday, Oct. 26 for a 5 p.m. RSC game. Links to live coverage can be found at https://bit.ly/WSOC19.
