MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Carlow (Pa.) University defender Rachel Flory was a key to the Celtics RSC win, and she was named River States Conference Defensive Player of the Week for Oct. 14-20.
The senior from Huntington Beach, Calif., was instrumental in the 1-0 victory over Point Park (Pa.), which evened the Celtics' record a 1-1-4 RSC. Carlow as in control with a 27-8 advantage in shots and just seven shots on goal allowed. With Flory at the end of the defense, Point Park did not have many opportunities inside the box.
Carlow (3-7-4) will be at Rio Grande (Ohio) and WVU Tech this weekend.
