PITTSBURGH - Carlow University men's soccer lost, 7-0, to crosstown rival Point Park University in a River States Conference game Thursday at Highmark Stadium.

The win ties Point Park's program record 12 wins from 1998 and 2013. The Pioneers (12-1, 5-0 RSC) have not lost a game since Sept. 1.

The Celtics (0-10, 0-5 RSC), still plagued by injuries, fell behind, 4-0, heading into halftime.

Goalkeeper Adam Myers (SR/Port Vue, Pa.) came up with some great saves, stopping a season-high 17 shots. The Pioneers out-shot the Celtics, 42-10 (24-5 on goal). Point Park held a 9-1 corner kick advantage.

Carlow returns to action on the road for an RSC game at the University of Rio Grande (Ohio) Oct. 24. The RedStorm are ranked 10th in the nation in NAIA.
